With just a piece of code, you can attribute events to user actions from months ago. Let's learn how.

With our events/conversion feature, you understand the referral that originated a certain event — what was shared, how, when and by whom.

When reporting that an event happened, we will unroll the chain of past referrals within the time window that you set. If you have our influencers feature enabled, the original user identity is also associated with the event.


First, visit Conversions and define as many event types as needed. Take note of their event codes.

There's no additional setup needed. Just invoke the following function with the appropriate code:

        gsconv('event_code', { user: 'john80', value: 59.97 });

As second parameter, you should send a hash of action details. In this example we are sending the current user ID and a purchase value.
